Hello friends, today I am back with some cards to show you. I am sorry that I was missing last week. It is time for the August Shop My Stash post and this month I decided to use the Concord & 9th Bootcut die set. It is a lovely set that cuts a boot shape and has a number of additional dies that allow one to create various designs on the boots and was just begging to be used.

My first card keeps the western theme going – sort of like what one expects from boots. I cut the boot from tan cardstock and the sole and tab from dark brown. Using orange shades, I cut the mountain scene and then added the green cactus. This 5×7 card got a light blue sky cardpanel and then a dark brown silhouette of a western skyline using a die from my stash. I completed the card with the “best wishes” sentiment using the Spellbinders Popular Sentiments die set.

For the second card, I cut the boots in lighter colors and added a sage green leg element. I then added the horseshoe and the stars cut from shimmer purple cardstock. Using the Spellbinders Color Block Southwest die, I embossed it onto a piece of cardstock for the background and then layered that panel onto a black mat before adding it to a kraft cardpanel. The sentiment is a die from the Bootcut die set.

And my final card is very girly. I created tan boots with light pink leg elements and darker pink soles and tabs. The purple flowers popping out of the top are done with dies also found in the Bootcut die set. I played up two shades of pink as a background for my boots and then added the “Happy Birthday!” sentiment cut from the same two shades of cardstock as the flowers. This was done with the Spellbinders Classic Sentiments die set.

Monica, these are the cutest boot cards I’ve ever seen! I love all the tiny parts you so meticulously put together, and the ways the different colors of papers and details make the set perfect for any gender or age! Beautifully done! I hope you and Mr. C. are doing well these days. hugs, de
Lovely ideas again. You used the boots in so many ways and each card is so unique: the different type of backgrounds, the colour choices, the different sentiments,… and assembled so beautifully. 🙂
