Creating a unique and special friendship bracelets card

Happy Friday! Today I am showing you a card that I made with products from my stash, some of which have since been retired but that I still enjoy working with. Friendship bracelets were certainly a thing years ago and I do see that they pop up every now and again. I had a request to make a birthday card for a special friend that was to include beading, animal print and the colors pink and black.

Making a card with friendship bracelets

Spellbinders had previously sent me the Bestie Beaded Bracelets and Bestie Alphabet Beads & Sentiments sets to create with and I very much enjoyed doing that. So I thought that friendship bracelets were the perfect beading project for this special card. Using a piece of animal print fabric, I covered a piece of cardstock to create a background. I used the cookie sheet dies from the Spellbinders Cool It Cookie Rack die set in pink and black to create the bead tray. I used the Spellbinders Handing You a Smile Small Die of the Month June 2020 set to create a hand and then added the friendship bracelets to the arm.

I completed the card by creating friendship bracelets that spell out “Happy Birthday” and dotted letters and shapes into the tray. The recipient was so pleased with her card and, I was told, placed it on display. Thank you for visiting with me today. See you next week.

  1. Interesting combination of fabric, paper and beads. Nice that you could create this personal card. Also an interesting colour combination, but works well. Thank you for sharing, enjoyed checking this week’s post. 🙂
