Happy Friday, my friends. Today I have a card to show you that I created while playing with my Spellbinders Whimsical Houses die set again. I love these houses because they are fun to make and the elements can easily be mixed and matched. We have a friend who bought his first house, so what better die set to use for a congratulations card?

I made a slimline card for this project, a card size I very seldom use. But I thought it would depict a neighborhood well, with one special house in it. Using Spellbinders colored cardstock, I cut four houses in Fog and Anchor cardstock and one in Poppy, with a Raven roof and a Truffle door. I also added the fence, cut from Truffle cardstock.

The houses were then lined up along the length of the card, with the colored one in the middle, and I backed it with a circle of Glitter Gold cardstock from the Spellbinders Treasured Gold Collection. Spellbinders cardstock has been a great discovery. It die cuts really well and the colors are beautiful. I completed the card by stamping the word “Congratulations” with Versafine Onyx Black ink under the center house.
Thank you for visiting with me today. I am sure you will see more Whimsical Houses in the future.

Such a cute card. And the different shape of the card (slimline) really works well as you could add a few more of these cute houses. Happy homes. I love the shapes of these houses (roof, windows, door); and the fence and the golden circle add another nice feature.
What a nice and special card for the occasion. I hope the new homeowner will enjoy his new home a lot. 🙂
