August 2025 Sheetload of Cards: Create 8 Beautiful Cards

Happy Friday friends. Today is Sheetload of Cards Friday on my blog and the August 2025 Sheetload of Cards is a fun design. The sketch makes eight A2 sized cards and uses 6×6 patterned paper. I am also using the Spellbinders Sharon’s Scissors die set on this month’s cards. Spellbinders designed this die set in honor of Sharon Klima, a store owner. She loved to fussy cut, but unfortunately she passed away from heart disease in January this year.

I looked through my 6×6 patterned paper stash and chose two sheets each of two coordinating papers. I love the rose papers and then chose a deep purple as my card matte. This went well with both the rose pattern and the green pattern. I cut the pieces as per the sketch and assembled the cardbases.

For the circle in the middle, I used a patterned vellum from my stash and printed the half sentiment “a cut above” eight times on the sheet and then using a three inch circle die from my stash, I cut them out. I foiled the printed sentiment in a pink foil with my Minc machine and toner foil.

Using silver metallic foil for the blades and a bright pink for the handles, I cut the scissors and assembled them before placing them at the top of the circle. The die cut sentiment that reads “YOU’RE ALWAYS” is a die from the Spellbinders Sharon’s Scissors die set.

I then completed the focal point in the center of the card with three of the hearts come from the heart-shaped handles of the scissors. If you love making cards from sketches, you should enjoy Call Me Crafty Al’s monthly Sheetload of Cards printable. See you next week.
