Happy Friday, friends! Today I have a masculine card to share that I made for a friend who is a painter by trade and also a very talented musician and singer. This is a “Shop My Stash” post because I didn’t buy anything new for this project.

I started by using a Stampin’ Up! embossing folder to add a “wall texture” to a piece of cardstock, then painted a stripe of blue across it. Next, I used the now-retired Spellbinders Butterfly Burst die set to create the paintbrush, cutting the bristles from Truffle, Malibu and silver cardstock. These colors coordinated nicely with the painted stripe.

To build the design, I created a frame for my 5 x 7 card panel and placed the textured “wall” inside. I finished the card by adding the brush to the corner, placing the birthday sentiment across the painted stripe and dotting a few musical notes around the design. Then I popped the card in the mail for a surprised recipient.
Thank you for visiting with me today. I’ll see you next week!

I love this card. The colour scheme is stunning. And the paintbrush looks so ‘real’. The painted stripe is so effective, so are the musical notes and the textured background/ wall.
You did an excellent job with this card. I can imagine that it was well received. 🙂
