Today I am back with my second project for Spellbinders using the new Summer Felt & Stitch release—this time featuring the Cheeky Apple die set. You may remember that I previously made a beehive jar with another die set from this collection. The Cheeky Apple die set gives you the option to create three different apples, and I have all three to show you.

For my first apple, I used bright red felt and cut two of the same piece to create a matching front and back. I added some cotton batting to the center of the apple for stability and also included one of the two leaf variations, along with a flower.

My second apple is yellow. For this one, I decided to add the arms and the face. Again, I cut both the front and back pieces with the same die and placed cotton batting between them. While stitching the edge, I sandwiched the stalk and arms into the seam. I glued on the facial features and added a leaf using the other leaf variation included in the set.

My final apple is green. For this one, I wanted to make a cut apple, so I added the lighter center and the seeds. As with the others, I included cotton batting in the middle and sandwiched the stalk into the seam.

As you can see, the Cheeky Apple die set is a fun one with lots of creative options. Be sure to check out the rest of the Summer Felt & Stitch collection (link in my supply list below). Thank you for visiting—I’ll see you next week!

These apples are so cute, the colours are stunning. And stitched so beautifully.
The smile on the yellow one is too sweet for words. I am always amazed how many possibilities there are for each project. It’s fun to watch/ to check it out each week. Keep it up. 🙂
