Today I’m back with a second blog post featuring the Spellbinders Felt Stitch & Create collection. This time I am making the Forest Fox and the Snowy Owl. But, I opted to go whimsy with them and so they are in red, pink and white.
First up we have the Forest Fox. I cut the most of the body out of red felt and the accents out of pink. The eyes and the feet were cut out of black and the nose, a darker shade of red. Matching up the holes that the die makes, I added the face piece to the head and then embroidered the facial features.
The inner ear and the chest piece are fastened with the stitching of the head and the neck. The black feet and the tail top detail are glued on after the fox is completed.
Making a girly Felt Stitch & Create Owl
Since the Snowy Owl has three colors, I opted for red, pink and white. I added the embroidered detail to the head and the wings, as well as the eyes on the face piece before assembling the owl. The feet have holes die cut in them to attach them to the body.
Using the Spellbinders Stitched Alphabet O, I created a feature for the owl. I cut the O out of felt and cut the shadow out of felt and cardstock which was glued together.
I love these little felt critters from the Felt Stitch & Create collection and look forward to making some more of each of them. Spellbinders does have some others in the collection and I encourage you to take a look.
