It is that time of the month again and that means that I have another “Shop my Stash” post to share with you. This time I needed a birthday card for my brother and given an inside joke, the card needed to have a monster on it. So it was the perfect time to break out my Brutus Monroe Monster Bash die set that I had purchased on a sale and never used.
I opted to use the monster with the eyes on stalks and I cut him from two shades of green cardstock. I placed an ice cream in his hand. The character was easy to assemble by following the example on the packaging.
The little guy was placed on a cardpanel of patterned paper before adding the cardpanel to the front of an A2-sized notecard. I completed the card with a “Happy Birthday” sentiment cut from white cardstock with a black shadow. Unfortunately the Monster Bash set from Brutus Monroe is retired, but any monster die set can be used to create a card like this.

I love this little guy. He is cute, such a happy chap. Lovely how you used two shades of green cardstock – very effective.
Your birthday card is fun and funny! I didn’t know monsters liked ice cream cones! Colorfully festive!!
