Hello friends, here I am on a Tuesday to share a card I made for Mr. C. for Valentine’s Day. Spellbinders recently released the Make It & Bake It Collection, and I immediately knew it needed a place in my stash. Since I do not own any baking-themed dies and I love baking, it felt like the perfect match. For this project, I used two of the sets from the Make It & Bake It Collection.

When choosing the color palette, I Googled the Valentine’s Day color palette for 2026 and found plenty of bold colors. Bold combinations are right up my alley, so I went to town with red, teal and golden yellow, along with brown and beige. I cut the mixer and bowl from Spellbinders cardstock, another investment I made at the end of last year. This cardstock has a lovely smooth yet sturdy finish and die cuts beautifully. Using Pomegranate, Cranberry and Teal Topaz, I assembled both pieces. For the smaller details, I cut the cord from Anchor cardstock, the button from Fog, the cookie dough from Fawn and the chocolate chips from Truffle. The beaters came from the brushed silver included in the Silver Treasured Cardstock bundle.

I created a card panel for my 5×7 card using a lighter weight red cardstock from my stash, then layered a panel of golden yellow and brown plaid patterned paper on top. After stamping the sentiment from the set, which reads “You’re my batter half,” I arranged the bowl and mixer on the card front. The die cut sentiment also comes from this set, and I cut it from Fawn and Truffle cardstock to coordinate with the cookie dough.
The Make It & Bake It Collection is so much fun to work with. Another card using a different die set from the collection is already in the works, so stay tuned!

This is now an interesting card. I love it. And the sentiment is absolutely wonderful.
I like the dish, the dough, the mixer… everything. Your colour choice is also so fitting. Everything is so intricate and real. Well done!!! 🙂
PS I look forward to seeing the next card from this collection!
