Today I am excited to start my series for the Spellbinders Advent Calendar 2025. This is the first year that I have purchased the calendar and I stayed away from any spoilers, so each day is truly a surprise. The little door for day one was in the top left-hand corner and it contained a small die set of a little dog lying on its back and a sentiment.

As an additional challenge that I added for myself is that I could only use patterned paper and cardstock from my scrap box and also that all dies were cut out of white cardstock and colored with my alcohol markers. The only exception to using full sheets is for card bases and the Hammermill paper that I use for Copic coloring. Here is my card for day one.

The little door for day two was also on the left-hand side of the calendar. It contained the stamp set for a sweet mushroom cluster and two sentiments.

I kept this card very clean and simple, adding the image to the bottom left-hand corner of a white panel and coloring it with my markers. I added a small strip of black and white striped paper to the left side.

The door for day three had another die set. This time we have a little rabbit with a wand and some stars.

I did some color blocking with cardstock strips for the background and placed my rabbit with accessories on the front. The sentiment is stamped and was the second sentiment in the stamp set for day two.

Day four contained a die set that creates a stamp with various sentiments to go with it.

Again using patterned paper from my scrap box for a background, I created the stamp and used the “thank you” sentiment from this set. The die set has three different sentiment options.

The calendar door for day five had a die set that makes a beautiful bloom, a smaller flower and a little seed pod. I cut these out of the white Hammermill cardstock and colored them with my Copic markers.

I found a piece of burlap-looking patterned paper in my scrap box and used that for a card panel. I stamped the sentiment, also from day two, in the center and placed it on the card base. I arranged my colored flowers around the edge and in the corners.

Day six, the last door for this blog post, contained a skinny embossing folder. It is a very versatile circular pattern and I opted to make a background with it and let it shine by itself.

I cut four strips of pink cardstock from dark to light in shade and ran each one through the embossing folder. I placed them on a green card panel spaced evenly and completed the card with a sentiment created from the stamp set of day four.

What fun it has been to create a little project for every day after getting the surprise of opening the door. It is also fun to mix and match the various elements received on previous days. I will be back in six days with another few cards to show you.

All cards are so sweet. You used the dies and sentiments from the calendar in such a wonderful way. It was so much fun to look at the cards
