Hello friends, today I am back with my second post on the Spellbinders Advent Calendar 2025. Today we are covering days seven to twelve. I have had such fun so far opening a little door every day. Another great part of this calendar is that all the parts are small and can easily be used with the Spellbinders Platinum Scout.

Day seven contains three small stencils that allow for coloring beautiful butterflies. For my card, I made one orange and one blue ink blended butterfly and then fussy cut them out. On the blue butterfly I colored the white veins black with a colored pencil. Using a Spellbinders embossing folder as the background, I added the two butterflies and a sentiment from the day four die set.

Day eight had a very interesting long and thin door and behind it was a banner die set with a sentiment that says “happy day.” There were three additional dies that provided the backgrounds, two to make each word in separate colors and the third die was for the individual pennant.

Looking through my scrap box, I found this cute background and thought it was perfect for the banner. Using the dies that created backgrounds for each word, I picked up the green and the orange from the background for the letters. After adding the banner to the card panel, the project was done.

The Spellbinders Advent Calendar 2025 also contains embellishments as stated on the back. Door nine contained a little packet of purple sequins in various sizes.

For my project, I used a beautiful 3D embossing folder on my card panel in a deep purple color. Using a different stencil from day seven, I colored a butterfly in yellow and depicted its flight with the sequins. The sentiment is from day two, heat embossed in white on dark purple.

I think day ten is one of my favorites so far. It is a die set that cuts a piece of toast with a topping on it and allows for adding arms and legs. There is also a split heart die in the set.

For my project, I used a piece of purple plaid patterned paper and created two slices of toast. One I colored with brown topping and for the other I colored the topping red. I added them holding hands to my card and created a Dymo sentiment for them to stand on. I added Wink of Stella to the heart so that it shines above their heads.

The door for day eleven had a little stamp set with some very versatile sentiments. I used one of them for my day eleven project.

Using the Essential Ovals die set, I created an offset focal point and added three of the bigger flowers and one smaller one from day five. The whole focal area was added to a black shimmer cardstock panel. I heat embossed the sentiment to the bottom of the upper oval.

Day twelve is another cute day. It creates an old-timey telephone and the parts are such that one can easily mix and match colors.

On a yellow card panel, I used an embossing folder from my stash to add a pattern to the paper. I created two telephones with inverse colors of each other and mounted them on a piece of grey pearl cardstock cut in a circle. I added one to each corner of my card and completed it with a sentiment from day eleven.

As I said before, this Spellbinders Advent Calendar 2025 is so much fun. I look forward to showing you the remainder of the projects. Hard to believe we are now halfway through. See you next time.

I love all the cards, they are all so special and unique. The embossing is wonderful has such a great effect.
The sentiments are lovely too. And the sequins on that butterfly card is such a great idea. And the toast one is so sweet. What an idea.
Well done with all of them.
I look forward to seeing the next ones. 🙂
