I’m back again with another project to show you! I know this is the third post in less than a week, but my huge project had kept me quite busy and now I’m playing catch-up. This is another project for Spellbinders, but we’re not paper crafting today. Instead, we’re creating Fergus the Winter Gnome.

Fergus is a 3D gnome, and the base die set includes his body, coat, hat, nose, beard, and hands. There are additional sets—of which I have the Winter & Christmas Embellishments die set—that provide accessories to decorate the gnome.

I created Fergus in shades of blue for his body and coat and gave him a black hat with a magenta hatband. Spellbinders has an excellent playlist with detailed instructions for all of Fergus’ parts.

But what is a man without a lady? To create the lady gnome, I used the back of the coat die twice to make a dress. For her hair, I used the larger beard piece and stitched one to each side of her head. The bottoms of her pigtails were secured with little ribbons, which were also threaded through her dress for stability.

To make them a matching pair, she got a hat to coordinate with Fergus’ hat.

Creating 3D felt projects with dies is a lot of fun, and Fergus and his accessories can be used for many different occasions or home décor seasons. Thank you for visiting with me again today!

Aren’t these two gorgeous… You did everything so beautifully. Just too cute! I like how you created a lady gnome as well. But what is her name? Maybe Fergie? 🙂
