How I Created 180 Beautiful Christmas Cards

Hello friends! It’s Friday again, and I’m pleased to be back with some projects to share with you. I’ve been absent for the better part of the month because the local farm and gift shop in our town ordered 180 Christmas cards from me. They wanted three different designs, with 60 of each design packed in boxes of six cards. I love beautiful Christmas Cards, so this was a great opportunity.

The first design for my order of beautiful Christmas cards

My first card was a clean and simple nativity scene. I used the Spellbinders Christmas Morn Nativity die set, cutting the background from blue cardstock and applying some dye ink to the bottom, fading the color upward. The scene was cut from black cardstock to create a silhouette image and added yellow for the halo and glitter gold for the star at the top. I mounted the scene onto a white card panel and added a die-cut sentiment to the top.

The second design for my order of beautiful Christmas cards

My second card has a western theme — we can’t live in Arizona and not have western Christmas cards! Using a variety of die sets and a printed background, I created a porch scene with a Christmas tree, wreath, boots, hat, and a red foil “Merry Christmas” sentiment backed with a vellum shadow.

The third design for my order of beautiful Christmas cards

My last card features a metallic card panel embossed with a snowflake background. The focal scene is a country snowman talking to his rabbit friend, finished off with the die-cut words “Happy Holidays.”

All beautiful Christmas cards packed up and ready for delivery

Each card has a sentiment stamped on the inside that matches the image on the outside. Once I had completed all 180 cards, I packed them into clear acetate boxes with envelopes and a little note explaining what they were about. It was a wonderful feeling of accomplishment to finally get them delivered and make them available for others to greet their friends for the holidays.

Thank you for visiting with me today — I look forward to returning to my routine of Friday project emails.
