Hello friends and welcome back to my blog, even though it is Tuesday. Today I am sharing a new challenge project that I did with my friend BozenA. It was my turn to choose a topic, and I chose for us both to make a card using the same card sketch. Mary of Stampin’ Pretty has a lovely page on her website with card sketches, and I picked #44 for us to use (I’ll link an image below).
I doubled this new challenge up with my monthly “Shop My Stash” post and used a honeycomb background die that I had purchased on sale many moons ago. Creating a landscape A2 notecard and covering the front with a panel of patterned paper, I placed the honeycomb background, which I had cut from kraft cardstock, over it. I created the center rectangle from vellum so as not to completely cover the pretty paper. Once it was in place, I decided it needed a bit more definition, so I added some thin strips of metallic gold cardstock as a border.
I cut the centered circle frame from white cardstock with some nested dies, then added the flowers to it, leaving space for the sentiment between them as per the sketch. Using my faux wax seal stamp set from Spellbinders to create the “wax seal” for the sentiment, I stamped it in teal ink and heat embossed the center with white embossing powder. I popped the seal up on a piece of craft foam cut with the same die as the seal. The card was completed with three glitter craft foam dots that I punched with a hole punch.
As always, I am excited to see what BozenA has come up with. Please head over to her blog post to see what she has created and leave her a comment while you’re there. Till next time.

Hello Monica.
You’re a much better observer than I am, and when I saw your card, I realized how many things I’d missed in my card. The honeycomb looks really great on the patterned paper, and the parchment draws the eye to the center of the card, where you’ve placed your sweet flowers. I completely agree that the gold frame adds elegance to the card and elevates it.
Dziękuję za to wyyzwanie, za świetny pomysł i doskonałyy szkic do odwzorowania.
Wow, this is an interesting project. An interesting technique again. I ‘sit’ amazed. The ideas you come up with are fascinating.
Always nice to check out your challenges. 🙃
