Easy process with a stunning result, white ink and the Field Notes 3D folder

Wow, two blog posts in two days. But today is Friday and time for my regular posting and I am here with two cards I made with the new Spellbinders Field Notes collection. I do love working with florals and the two items in this collection that I got to work with are no exception.

Using the Field Notes embossing folder with white ink.

The two cards are very similar; they just vary in the color of the focal flowers. For the embossed panels, I cut a piece of kraft cardstock to 5×7 inches and then ran it through the Field Notes 3D embossing folder. Once it was embossed, I rubbed Picket Fence Distress Ink over the very tops of the relief pattern on the paper for some additional dimension. I then cut the panel into two 2.5 inch strips.

I added the embossed panels to the right-hand sides of the two 5×7 cards that I was making and tucked a piece of black and white striped patterned paper on the right side of the embossed piece. This just added another bit of interest to the card.

Using the dies from the Field Notes Wildflowers die set, I created two of each and arranged them on the fronts of the two cards. I cut the “tape” pieces from yellow glitter cardstock and glued them in place too.

To complete the cards, I did some ink blending on the card front next to the embossed panel with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink and a sponge dauber. I then added the sentiment that I cut from black cardstock using the Spellbinders Thanks Enclosed Sentiments die set.

The Spellbinders Field Notes collection is a fun one with dies, stamps, the embossing folder and BetterPress plates. Thank you for visiting with me today. I will see you next week again.

  1. Wow, these cards look so intricate. Lovely little details. The embossing works well.
Something different you created here I think. I like it. 🙂
