Adding floral flair to the May 2025 Sheetload of Cards

Today is Sheetload of Cards day and so here we have the May 2025 Sheetload of Cards sketch that I am using together with this sweet new die set from Spellbinders called Kokeshi Dolls. The die set allows for making Kokeshi Dolls with various styles and accessories. I opted to make four with a single bun and four with the double bun for this set of 8 sheetload cards.

I made the dolls with their purple kimonos being cut from shimmer cardstock. Light green was used as the contrasting color. When looking through my stash of patterned paper for designs to use here, I was looking for florals. Somehow, florals seem to go with this Japanese cutie since she already had flowers on her kimono. I cut the patterned paper as per the sketch and then opted to use a darker purple for the matte behind the focal panel and the diagonal panel.

After cutting all the pieces, I assembled the cards. As always, the sheetload sketch makes two reversed versions of the cards. Since I had two versions of the doll, I made sure to adhere all the same versions to the same variation of the sheetload sketch.

I completed the cards by stamping the word “Hi!” in Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink to the right of the elegant ladies.
