Cozy Cluck stitching die used two ways

Happy Friday, Friends! Today I am showing off two fun projects – well, sort of one that became two. Spellbinders sent me the new Felt Cozy Cluck die set to work with and I made two projects with it. My first project stays true to the intention of the die set and is a complete fiber art project. I cut the parts from various felt colors and using a bit of batting inside for the stuffing, I did all the stitching on the individual parts of the chicken like in the guide.

Using the Cozy Cluck die set as intended to make a flet plushie

My second project shows that you can also use this sweet Cozy Cluck if you do not like to stitch. I cut all the parts out of cardstock and glued the chicken together. Using the same color scheme in cardstock as I had used for the felt version, the two together could make a sweet gift and card set for a special friend.

Here I used the Cozy Cluck die set to cut the chicken out of cardstock. No stitching done

I added a kraft cardstock matte to a 5×7 cardbase. Using a piece of darker brown cardstock, I ran it through the Spellbinders Soaring 3D embossing folder from the new Dina Wakley Collaged Birds collection. I only did partial embossing and then, using my scoreboard, I finished the bottom of the embossed section with a line.

The sentiment is from the Spellbinders Spring Chicken stamp and die set. I stamped it in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with detail white embossing powder. The “you are im-peck-able” sentiment is perfect for any chicken focal point.

The sentiment is white heat embossed and a great compliment to the Cozy Cluck die set

I hope you enjoyed seeing these two projects as much as I enjoyed making them. I have linked all the supplies I used in my list below. See you next week.

I received the Felt Cozy Cluck die set and the Soaring embossing folder from Spellbinders in order to create with. I purchased all the other products used in these projects myself.
