Hello friends! Today I have two really easy-to-make cards done with the Spellbinders Beveled Sentiments embossing folders. These are 3D folders that emboss a sentiment onto a whole A2 card panel. This makes for really easy card background that make a bold statement.
For my first card, I used a panel in a burgundy color and ran that through the die cut machine using the Beveled Happy Birthday A2 Cardfront. Once I had embossed the panel, I used Picket Fence Distress Oxide ink and a sponge dauber and rubbed the ink lightly over the raised area to highlight the text a bit further. I then cut the panel down to 4×5.25 inches so that I had a white frame from the cardbase. Using an older Spellbinders die set, I cut the words “to you” from white cardstock and placed them on the card panel.
My second card uses the Spellbinders Beveled A Gift for You A2 Cardfront embossing folder and I embossed it on a medium shade of purple cardstock. Once completed, I rubbed some Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink on the raised areas with a sponge dauber. I then cut the panel to 4×5.25 inches and added it to a top-folding A2 cardbase.
These embossing folders are definitely great to have in one’s stash for quick and easy cards. They can be inked or just left plain. Both ways, they make a great statement.
