Celebrating the New House Mouse Summer Fun Collection

If you have followed my blog for a while, you will know that I am a House Mouse Fan. And so when Spellbinders launched the House Mouse Summer Fun collection, I had to play along. Today I am showing you two different mousey antics, both of them colored with my watercolor markers.

The first card was made using the Stay Cool stamp set. I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. This raised the lineart ever so slightly to help with the water coloring of the image. Using my markers and a water brush, I added the color to the shadow areas of the image and pulled the pigment to the lighter area with the water.

Once I had colored the image, I cut the panel down 5×3.75 inches and matted it onto a panel that was 5.25×4 inches. The cardpanel was then added to the front of an A2 cardbase to complete the card.

My second card is made with the stamp called Sweet Birthday also from the House Mouse Summer Fun collection. As before, I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear powder. I added the color with watercolor markers and a water brush. Once it was colored, I added the panel to a purple cardfront which I then adhered to an A2 cardbase.
