Hello friends, today is Friday again and time for my monthly Shop my Stash post. This week it comes with a twist as I am doing a challenge with my friend BozenA. She suggested the topic of this challenge back in January and has been patiently waiting for me to complete my project for a long time.

She wanted us to create a card using mixed media techniques. Her description was to use a stencil, inks or embossing paste, stamps, tissue paper and dried flowers. Since I live in the desert, I opted to purchase a little packet of dried flowers. The product I’m using here for the first time since I bought it is the Spellbinders Super Stripes background die.

Using a double sided adhesive sheet, I added slightly crumpled tissue paper to a piece of cardstock and then cut it out with the die. I realized that this technique lent itself to creating two cards, so I cut another background out of white cardstock. I cut two panels at 4×5.25 inches out of a pale yellow card stock and then assembled the striped backgrounds onto them.

Using the Waffle Flower Bokeh Stencil Trio and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink, I blended the ink through the stencils onto the backgrounds. Then I added the panels to top-folding A2 sized note cards. I completed each card by adding the flowers from the little packet and stamping and die cutting the sentiments from the Waffle Flower Fluttering By stamp and die set.

I am excited to see what BozenA has created and I would suggest you visit her post to see for yourself. Thank you for visiting with me today.
