Happy Friday, my dear blog friends. Today I’m excited to share how I used the Spellbinders Summertime Vacay die set to create three beachy summer cards for the “Shop my Stash” series. With warmer weather approaching, this Summertime Vacay collection was perfect for crafting tropical vacation-themed designs. I made three 5×7 cards and used a different color palette from the Color Catalog for each one.
For my first Summertime Vacay card, I used palette #079 and designed the beach scene in Procreate on my tablet. The beach chairs and umbrella pole maintain a classic black frame across all designs. I chose sage green card stock for the tropical islands, creating consistency throughout the summer vacation series.
My second Summertime Vacay design features palette #082. While unconventional for a beach scene, the combination creates a striking effect with gray waters contrasting beautifully against vibrant beach chairs and umbrella.
The final card in my Summertime Vacay collection uses palette #093. This color scheme naturally lends itself to a tropical island scene, with perfect ocean blues and bright, cheerful colors for the beach furniture.
Each card is finished with an elegant gold-foiled sentiment, created on my computer, laser printed and foiled using my Minc machine. I then cut it out with a sentiment strip die from my stash

These cards are gorgeous, so vibrant and real/ 3-D. The colours are beautiful, I like the difference scenes. The retirement one is great – an invitation to chill and relax. Lovely sentiments. I really like this project!!! 🙂
