Using Classy Numbers to create two interesting and cheery cards

Hello Blogland Friends. Today is a special Friday and I have two cards to show you using the Spellbinders Classy Numbers die set. For my first card, I also used the new Pooh and Piglet die set that Spellbinders released. This was a “must have” set for me. It is the old-world Pooh and Piglet from the story book, when Pooh Bear was still young enough to not need a shirt.

On this card, I created a scene with cardstock on a 5×7 cardbase. Using the Honey Bee Stamps Horizon Slimline Border die set, I made the hill and grassy patch. I cut the pieces to make Pooh Bear and Piglet and inked the edges to give a bit of dimension. The balloon, balance sheet, quill and flower are all from the same die set.

Using the Classy Numbers die set, I cut some numbers from gold metallic cardstock and placed the 2 up on the hill. Piglet is preparing to add the 1 to it to make a 21st birthday card.

My second card is a birthday card for hubby. I cut all the numbers from the Classy Numbers die set and when I looked at them lying on my desk, they reminded me of those push puzzle games we had as children. So I decided to make one for a custom birthday card, with the numbers for the age put together. Using my Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle dies, I cut a frame from black cardstock. I then added a white cardstock backer to the frame and made the various “tiles” to fit in the frame.

Using an embossing folder from my stash, I embossed a blue cardpanel which I added to a 5×7 cardbase. I added the “puzzle” as my focal image and added the “Age is a number” sentiment, which I printed on my laser printer and foiled with my Minc machine with gold foil.

The Spellbinders Classy Numbers is a numerical die set that is a good staple to have. It includes “st”, “nd” and “rd” dies as well. Thank you for visiting with me again today. See you soon!

  1. Beautiful ideas.
I like the Pooh Bear and Piglet card. Those two are just so cute.
And the push puzzle idea for the second card is great. Makes such a special and unique card. 🙂
