May 2021 Sheetload of Cards revisited this month

Hello blog friends. Today I am here with my January Sheetload of Cards post, but with a bit of a difference. Call Me Crafty Al took a break in January from putting out a new sketch, and so I decided to revisit an older Sheetload sketch and make some Valentine’s Day cards. I used the May 2021 Sheetload of Cards sketch which makes 6 cards and uses 6×6 patterned paper.

May 2021 Sheetload of Cards revisited this month makes 6 cards

I have some 6×6 patterned paper pads that I have had forever and so found two heart-themed papers that went together and cut the pieces as per the sketch. Deciding to matte the patterned paper with silver metallic cardstock, I used red cardstock for the card panel.

I like to use Scrappy Tape to adhere my paper pieces together, and so I added the tape to all the pieces during a video chat session I had with a friend. I stamped the sentiment pieces in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then cut the banner tails and rounded the corners. Once I had tape on all the pieces and the patterned paper on their mattes, I adhered the card panels to the A2-sized notecards and then assembled the cards. As is mostly the case with the Sheetload sketches, half of the cards are the reverse of the other half.

I look forward to seeing what the first Sheetload of Cards sketch is for 2025, but I am glad that Alicia took a break which allowed me to do a rewind of my stash of sketches for this post. See you next week!
