Quick cards with the August 2024 Sheetload of Cards

Hello Friends! It is Friday again and also time for my Sheetload of Cards. Today I am doing a sketch throwback and using the August 2024 Sheetload of Cards sketch. If you have been here a while, you will know that I use my monthly Sheetload cards to send to the ladies on my health insurance prayer list. I need 26 cards this month, so I made three sets of eight cards and will use two others from my stash.

The first set of cards is a combination of purple and sage green. I used a purple gingham patterned paper and a floral pattern. The smaller patterned paper piece differs from the sketch because I cut it diagonally from corner to corner rather than leaving a space. I used my template to print the sentiments and then cut them out with the Hero Arts Sentiment Strips die. Using the die a second time, I cut some blank strips to back the sentiments so they are one layer higher than the papers they are between.

My second set of cards uses a combination of green and pink. I used a green plaid patterned paper from my stash as well as a pink floral. The Sheetload of Cards is a great stash buster. While the cards are fun to assemble, it is just about as much fun going through the paper bin to see what is there and what I can use together.

My final card set uses a water lily patterned paper with a colorful polka dot pattern. Here you can see that the sentiment can be placed in either direction depending on how the small patterned paper piece is cut.
