Using November 2024 Sheetload of Cards to create Get Well cards

Happy Friday again and time for that sheetload! Today I am showing off my November 2024 Sheetload of Cards creation. This month the sketch used 2 sheets of 12×12 patterned paper and created 8 notecard sized cards. My friend that I often give my set of cards to was in need of cards again and she asked for Get Well cards. So that is what this month’s cards are. I don’t make Get Well cards very much, not really sure why, so this was a bit of a change for me and allowed me to use some Waffle Flower dies that I had not used before.

I chose two patterned papers from my stash. Wanting to keep the cards as neutral as possible, but still bring in some color, I opted for greens, browns and grays. I cut the papers as per the sketch and then added the Scrappy Tape to all the pieces. I know that it takes a while to add the tape, but I do prefer it to any sort of liquid glue for this patterned paper. The paper does not wrinkle and the edges and corners are glued down well.

Once I had all the cards created, I used a 2 inch punch to create the circles for the sentiments. I doubled the cardstock here for a sturdier element. Using the Waffle Flower Print & Script Get Well dies, I cut the sentiments in both the print and the script fonts and mixed and matched them on my cards. I love the look of sentiments made up of different fonts.

I look forward to Call Me Crafty Al’s sketch every month and this November 2024 Sheetload of Cards was no exception. I hope that each person who gets one of these cards will be encouraged.

  1. Love your idea. Such gentle colours, calming. I like your idea with the different fonts. Whoever gets one of these can be so pleased. And may the encouragement help their healing/recovery. 🙂
