It is the first of May and here I am with my new design team project for the Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenge. As of this year, you can enter a project for any occasion and not just for Christmas. But I enjoy making Christmas cards and hope to have a stash of them by the end of the year, so I continued with making Christmas cards. For this month’s Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenge, I used the letter B. My card meets the criteria of Slimline or Mini Slimline, Hand Colored Image, Dots and I used Die Cutting for the Free item. I skipped the use of Vellum.
Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenge with B
I created this mini slimline card using the Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Postage Collage die. I took a picture of the die and then imported the picture into my Silhouette Studio so that I have the correct sizing of the openings. Using this as a guide, I added images from a digital stamp set by Isabel Cristina – link to her shop below. I then printed the images out and die cut the postage sheet. The images are colored with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I printed them onto regular cardstock this time and not dedicated pencil coloring paper.
Once I had them colored, I stamped the sentiment in Cantaloupe Memento Ink and added the postage collage to a blue cardstock matte. The cardpanel was then adhered to a top-folding mini slimline cardbase measuring 6.5×3.25 inches. The card was completed by adding three punched dots in two opposite corners and coloring them with my Wink of Stellar pen.

We would love to see you project at the Christmas [or not] BINGO Challenge. You have six weeks to enter and you can enter up to eight projects in the challenge. Take a look at the BINGO card and let’s see what criteria you choose to use. Remember the rule is to use at least three things from any one column. No rows or diagonals!

Monica, I love your card. I’ve seen these postage stamp like designs and just love them. I see that you used colored pencils too. I have the same exact box, but don’t feel that I’m really good at using them so much. I’m working more on that. You’ve done a great job!
Cute card, lovely technique. Well done again. 🙂
