April 2024 Sheetload of Cards: A Cute Batch of Panda Cards

Hello friends! Today I’m back with the April 2024 Sheetload of cards and this month the sketch makes eight cards. If you are not familiar with sheetload of cards, this is a sketch that Alicia of the Call Me {Crafty} Al YouTube channel puts out every month. It is a free download for subscribers of her channel and is definitely a help using up that patterned paper that we all have stashed away forever.

I chose two of my 12 x 12 patterned papers. I chose the plaid first and then found a cute floral paper to go with it. After cutting the papers as per the April 2024 Sheetload of cards sketch, I assembled the eight cards. I deviated from the sketch somewhat, in that my focal image is a die cut. That is the great thing about the sheetload of cards, one can use one’s own creativity to personalize the cards.

With the sketch, you get four of each kind of card. Four have the plaid as the background and the flower print as the matte. The other four are the reverse.

Using the Spellbinders Dancin’ Birthday Panda, I die cut eight pandas. It was very therapeutic and peaceful to put them all together. I do enjoy assembling cuts to create layered images. I used the Hero Arts Infinity Oval dies and created an oval for the focal points in purple and another one a bit bigger for a matte.

Once I had all the pandas assembled, they were added to the purple oval for the center. The focal pieces were added to the front of the cards. I completed the cards with the word “hugs” cut out of white card stock and added to a black shadow. This is from the Spellbinders Handwritten Sentiments die set. If you have been here for a while, you will know I love die cut sentiments.
