We officially start the second half of 2026 today and, with that, there is a new challenge at the Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenge blog. I would like to show you my Design Team project for the July 2026 Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenge. Since I always take the Christmas column in my own little additional challenge, I was working with B this time: Christmas, Red, Plaid, Check or Gingham and Digital Image.

I looked through my stash of digital images and found this cute little Christmas dachshund. I thought he was just perfect with his red hat and the red bow on the ornament. I printed him onto white cardstock and cut him out with an oval die from the Hero Arts Oval Infinity Die Set. I then cut another oval one size larger from red foiled cardstock. I added a panel of the same red foiled cardstock to my 5×7 card base before adhering a panel of red and white checkered paper backed with dark gray cardstock.

I layered the focal image onto the red foiled oval and adhered it to the top of the card. I then added the sentiment, cut from the same red foiled cardstock, using the Spellbinders Classic Merry Christmas die set. This die set includes a matching shadow for each word, which I cut from vellum. I did not want to cover the checkered paper since that is one of the criteria for the challenge. However, the vellum muted the background just enough for the sentiment to remain clearly legible.

I love your creation/interpretation of the „B“ column. The doggie is very cute. And the background and sentiment go well together. I enjoyed looking at your project. 🙂
