Happy Friday my blogland friends! Today we are doing a Shop My Stash post and I am using dies from the Spellbinders On the Farm collection that I purchased a good while ago and never got to work with. We have a friend who had a birthday this month and is a hobby farmer, so the Ham It Up and the Spring Chicken sets were perfect for the occasion.

Since I have pictures of his pigs, I was able to make a herd of pigs in black and brown just like his. The set comes with some festive accessories like a scarf and hat for the pig, but I did not use them for this project. The pigs are easy to assemble and they are very cute.

I also made three hens and two chicks with the Spring Chicken die set. These are also easy to assemble. Spellbinders has a helpful instruction sheet on their website for all their layered die sets.

To complete the card I used a landscape oriented 5 x 7 card base and covered it with a blue embossed card panel. The panel was embossed with the Spellbinders Radiant Burst Embossing Folder. I cut a ground piece from kraft cardstock and glued it to the bottom of the card. I also cut three cacti with dies from my stash for the scene and then arranged them along with the animals on the front of the card. Using the now retired Everyday Sentiments die set, I added a Happy Birthday sentiment in white letters on black shadows to the top left-hand corner.
Thank you for visiting with me again today.

What a cute card. I really like it. The animals are gorgeous. The blue embossed background is very effective. Lovely compilation. 🙂
