Today I am here to share some news about Spellbinders and their new monthly challenge, which launched in January. This month’s theme is “Glam” and includes anything shiny like foil, metallic cardstock, specialty papers, shimmer, etc. You get the idea. I created a Classic Mouse Love card to enter this fun challenge.
As you know, I have the Steamboat Willie Duo die set and Spellbinders has come out with an accessory set for the two mice that focuses on love. Included in the set is a new pair of arms for each character that allows them to sign a heart. I created my card using a palette from my Color Catalog. The gentleman and the lady have matching outfits and I used three of the other items from the Classic Mouse Love set, namely the envelope, the gentleman’s hat and the balloon.
To complete this 5×7 card, I used a matching purple card panel and then placed the couple on a vellum heart with a red glitter cardstock frame. This is where I added my “glam” to the card. The sentiment is made up of a combination of the Spellbinders Thanks Enclosed and Everyday Sentiments die sets. I completed the card by adding a little Wink of Stella to her balloon and the heart on his envelope.

This is absolutely delightful, Monica! The Classic Mouse Love additions are so charming, and I love how the signing heart brings such a sweet, romantic moment to the card.
