How to Make Two Fun Musical Cards with Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing not one but two music-inspired cards made with the Spellbinders Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection. This collection is full of instruments, staves, and sentiments that are perfect for music lovers of all ages. I had a lot of fun mixing and matching the dies and stamps to create two different looks.

A sweet encouragmenet card made with Bibi's Musical Notes collection

Card One: You Rock

For the first project, I created a 5×7 card that feels like a full orchestra playing together. I started with a kraft panel and ran it through the Musical Notes 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed background adds so much dimension and instantly sets the musical tone.

I die cut the stave and musical notes from black cardstock using the Musical Notes and Staves Die Set and placed them diagonally across the panel, almost like sheet music in motion. The instruments came from the Mini Musical Instruments Die Set—I cut a mix of trumpet, violin, saxophone, keyboard, and microphone. Using colored cardstock scraps gave each one its own personality while still tying everything together.

For the sentiment, I stamped “You Rock” from the Family Musical Greetings Stamp Set in Versafine Onyx Black Ink on a small crea, colored banner. I then adhered everything onto a cream card base to finish it off. This card has a bold, layered look that would be great for congratulating someone on a performance or simply to brighten a music lover’s day.

Card Two: You Are Simply the Best

For the second project, I kept things a little softer and more playful with an A2 notecard. I began by inking a white card panel with Memento dye ink in shades of pink for a blended background. This soft color made the perfect backdrop for the bold black stave and notes from the Musical Notes and Staves Die Set.

Next, I added a few die cut instruments from the Mini Musical Instruments Die Set — a violin, a microphone, and a pastel pink keyboard. I love how the turquoise violin pops against the pink background! The sentiment, You are simply the best, comes again from the Family Musical Greetings Stamp Set and is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I finished by mounting the panel onto a white A2 card base. This card has a fun and uplifting vibe—perfect for letting someone know how special they are.
