Does anyone know where February went to? It is March 1 and time for a new Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenge and here is my Design Team Project for this go around. As always, the challenge lasts for 6 weeks. You can choose any of the BINGO card columns and you need to use at least 3 items from the column. Your card can be any occasion, but I keep the original challenge going and always make a Christmas card for the challenge.

This time I used column I – Christmas, Black/Gray, Free, Smooshing and No Stamping. For my Free element, I introduced pink and brown. I started by cutting a piece of watercolor paper to 3.5×4.75 inches and using Distress Oxide inks on my glass mat, I started with Black Soot. I sprayed the ink after rubbing it onto my mat and then “smooshed” the paper into the wet ink, drying each dip with my heat gun. The process of dipping and drying was continued until the whole panel was covered in black ink. Since Black Soot does sort of break into a greenish color when wet, I added a little Twisted Citron to accentuate that, again drying between each dip. I completed the smooshed background with some Picked Raspberry, only dipping the paper here and there so that the pink and black made that mystic background I was looking for.

I then added a sliver of pink shimmer paper to the bottom left hand corner before adding it to a gray cardpanel. This was then in turn added to a top-folding A2 cardbase. I completed the card by adding some gifts stenciled with the Waffle Flower Multiple Presents Die-n-stencil and a sentiment from the Spellbinders Handmade Sentiments die set.
I invite you to join us in the Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenge. You can enter a project for any occasion as long as you use at least three elements from one of the columns.
