Today I have 3 cards to show you that I created with the new House Mouse collection from Spellbinders called Creative Day. They sent me two stamp sets to work with, namely Creative Day and Healing Thoughts. I used three different coloring methods on these cards.

My first card uses the Healing Thoughts stamp and I stamped it on Hammermill cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as that is alcohol marker friendly. Using my Copic markers, I colored the cute image. Using one of the sentiment stamps from the stamp set, I stamped it in Memento Love Letter ink and then again with Versamark ink and then added clear embossing powder.

I cut the image out with a Spellbinders Essential Stylish Oval die and then cut a piece of red cardstock with a die one size bigger. I layered the ovals together and then added them to a top folding A2 notecard.

My next card uses the Creative Day stamp and I also stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto gray cardstock. Doing a story book style of coloring on all the items except for Muzzy, I colored the image with my pencils.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set and stamped it along the bottom of the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink and coated it with clear embossing powder to give that glossy look. I cut the image out with a stitched rectangle die from my stash and added it to a top-folding A2 notecard.

My final card was a bit of experimenting. I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto kraft cardstock and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Using Distress Oxide inks and a waterbrush, I colored the image in a similar story book style as I had done with the pencil coloring. Once the ink was dry, I cut the image out with a scalloped oval die from my stash. I added a piece of patterned paper to the front of an A2 notecard and placed the focal image onto that. I completed the card using two die cut tulips from the Spellbinders Artful Tulip die set and the word Mom using some alpha dies from my stash.

Don’t you just love House Mouse images? They are always super cute and doing the sweetest things. Thank you for visiting with me and I will see you next week.
