Today I am back to show two cards with a new Spellbinders collection. This is Yana’s Amaryllis Christmas collection from which I have the embossing folder, the die and the stencil. Today I’m showing cards that I made using the embossing folder and the die.
My first card shows the Amaryllis Christmas die and the embossing folder used together. Using Silhouette Studio and my laser printer, I printed the sentiment at the bottom of a 4 x 5.25 inch cardpanel. I then foiled the sentiment with gold toner foil and my Minc machine. The area above the sentiment was placed in the embossing folder and sent through the Platinum 6 machine.
Using white cardstock, I cut the Amaryllis flower out one time. I cut it out another time using silver metallic cardstock. I colored the white petals with alcohol markers in teal shades. While this is not a color that real Amaryllis flowers come in, in the cardmaking world they can be created. I added the flower on top of the embossed panel before adding it to a top folding notecard.
My second card uses a strip of the embossed panel that was embossed on watercolor paper. I colored the flowers and the leaves with watercolor markers. Using a gold gel pen, I highlighted the stamens in the center of the flowers. I then colored the background in with a dark blue marker.
Using a piece of gold matte metallic card stock, I layered the embossed panel onto the metallic strip. This element was then added to a 5 x 7 green cardpanel. I completed the card by cutting the words “Merry Christmas” out of the same matte gold metallic cardstock.
I am a collector of Yana’s flowers and the beauty of this Amaryllis Christmas collection did not disappoint.

Two such different cards but each one so special. I like the embossing and the colour of the first one very much. Such a great effect. The sentiment is lovely.
The second one is maybe more ‘traditional’ but it has its own beauty. The golden stamens are a great effect.
I can only say – well done again!
Both cards are stunning, Monica!!! The textures, colors, elegance of metallics and foils with the gorgeous flowers have combined to make fabulous cards! Spectacular! –Becca
