Hello friends, it is time for the October 2024 Sheetload of Cards. This month’s sketch makes six cards and uses 6 x 6 paper. I again visited my stash of European paper and so had to adjust the cutting a little bit to make provision for a 15 x 15 cm sheet rather than a 6 x 6 inch sheet.
I chose to use an ivory colored card base to go with the nature-inspired patterned papers that are used. The center panel is kraft cardstock and I cut all the strips and added Scrappy Tape to the back. Although adding tape to all the little pieces does take a while, it is a repetitive and therapeutic process.
My sentiment strip in the middle is a light green onto which I stamped “Thinking of you” with dark brown ink and a Scrapbook.com stamp set. I opted to reverse the sentiment on the two different versions and so stamped three on the left and three on the right of the sentiment strip.
The little gnome from the Spellbinders Garden Buddies die set was used to add a cheerful little character to the front of the cards. Despite the little pieces, he is easy to assemble.
I enjoy the Sheetload of Cards and look forward to the new sketch each month. I’ll see you next month with the next sketch.
