Happy Friday! This is my second post for this week and I am excited to share with you another new die set. This time I am using the Spellbinders Cheerful Kittens set and I had fun creating the different kitties for different occasions. I made three clean and simple cards with lots of white space around the focal point.
My first card is a “Just Because” card. I made the sitting cat for this card in shades of gray. The die set is easy to assemble and one can easily make different breeds of cats by changing up the colors of cardstock used or by adding colors with markers or inks. For this card I added a sentiment that reads “A note just for you” using the Spellbinders Popular Sentiments die set. I like this set a lot as the words are bold, but not too big and one can make sentiments like this on an A2 card. I popped the white cardpanel onto an A2 cardbase with foam tape.
Creating a birthday card
My second card has the kitty in the same color scheme as the first one, but this time I made the cat that is hanging. Both these cats are in the die set. The banner is also in the die set. Using a stamp from my stash, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I positioned the cat in the middle of my cardpanel, before adhering the cardpanel to an A2 cardbase with foam tape.
Spellbinders Cheerful Kittens for the holidays
My final card is a holiday card. I used the die that says “delivering joy” from the Spellbinders Handmade Sentiments die set to add the sentiment to the banner. I created a tan and white kitten for this card and gave her a Santa hat cut from red foil cardstock. Using the Spellbinders Big Bicycle die set, I created five poinsettias. After placing the cat in the middle of a white cardpanel, I arranged the poinsettias on each side of the banner and cat.
I completed the card by adding the white cardpanel to a green foil cardstock matte and then added that to an A2 cardbase with foam tape.
I love how this die set with the two versions of a cat is so versatile that with a little bit of imagination, it can be used for many different occasions.

Three nice cards. Nice idea how you used the cat in different colours and positions. It is really versatile as you said. Well done once again.
