Looking for Spring with Spellbinders Fresh Picked Daffodils

Today, I am excited to share my latest creative endeavor featuring the recently released Spellbinders collection called Fresh Picked. I am using the Fresh Picked Daffodil set here and while it takes somewhat of a departure from my previous Maximalist approach showcased in a vibrant flower card, I still stayed with a bold design. To enhance the visual impact, I opted for an elegant touch by incorporating a darker shade of green as the background. This choice ensures that the white and yellow daffodils take center stage and truly pop off the card.

I cut the flower petals from white cardstock, while the vibrant center found its form in a shade of bright yellow. The leaves, an integral part of the ensemble, were cut from a lighter green cardstock. The sheer size and boldness of the flowers contribute to the ease of assembly, making them an ideal focal point that gracefully covers the entire A2 card front.

The background and the sentiment

The background, a rich and dark green canvas, underwent a transformation thanks to an embossing folder from my stash. I applied this textured background to a side-folding notecard, creating a perfect backdrop for the upcoming floral showcase. I arranged the daffodils on the front of the card, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing composition.

To bring the entire creation together, I used the Spellbinders Every Day Sentiment die set. From this set, I selected a fitting sentiment, cut it from white cardstock and added a black shadow to enhance its boldness. This choice not only adds a layer of sophistication but also ensures that the sentiment stands out boldly against the busy yet artfully arranged background.

I would like to invite you to explore the different products within this Spellbinders collection. Beyond the captivating daffodils, there are other floral delights waiting to be discovered.
