I am so excited to share today’s post with you. This is another challenge between BożenA and I and it was my turn to choose the topic. I decided that the challenge was to be for each of us to visit the other one’s blog and choose a project that inspired us and create from that inspiration.
I knew that would be a tough job as BożenA has many beautiful projects on her crafty space and there are many that could be inspiration for a project. But this card
really spoke to me, although I really don’t have any flower stamps that I use, so I had to think about it. And then one day while looking through my stamps AGAIN, it struck. The bear with his big flower.
So I stamped the image and the sentiment in Versamark ink on heavyweight black cardstock and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I then flicked gold metallic watercolor onto the background, masking off the image so that the paint did not splatter on there. I wanted a “path” of splatters going up the right side and tapering off to the left.
I then painted the flower with blue metallic watercolor, adding concentrated color in the middle and pulling it out to the ends of the petals with water. I added the black panel to a white side-folding cardbase.
I am so excited to see what project of mine BożenA chose to be inspired by and I invite you to visit her post
and take a look. Leave her a comment while you are there.
