Hello friends. Today I have the first card to show you that I made with two new things! I joined the Waffle Flower Sneak Peek club and got the first one in January. This kit included the dies for the bunny ears headband and the strip sentiment. I also discovered some new toner foil.
I love the effect of foil on cards, but I don’t do it enough to warrant a designated machine. I do have a laser printer and a laminator, but my results were hit and miss. I recently heard about textile foil from H&H Sign Supply and that it was a better quality, so I decided to try it. And indeed, this sentiment printout from my printer foiled beautifully through my laminator, despite it being quite bold. Since the sentiment strip is also printed with toner, I was able to foil that too.
Once the cardpanel was foiled and cut down to size, I inked it with Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink. For those of you that follow me on social media, you will have seen the ink pad holder I made for my oxide inks. I will add a picture at the bottom of this post.
Using a previous Spellbinders Small Die of the Month for the girl’s head, I added the Waffle Flower bunny ears headband to her head. It was a perfect match. I added some details to the face and hair with Copic markers and white gel pen.
I made the ink pad holder out of a cardboard box that a table was shipped in. I painted it with acrylics and sealed it with varnish.

Lovely and happy card. The foiling is beautiful. The ink pad holder looks stunning. Now you are well organized. So easy now to get to the different colours.
This is a really fun card for some cheerful teenage girl. The bunny ears fit perfectly on this girl's head.
Monica, I was sure it was a professional ink organizer. You are amazing!
This is so cute, Monica. I was fortunate enough to find out I won a kit today. I love what you did with your Bunny ears.
