It is Friday again and time for another project blog post from me. I am playing with the Spellbinders Classic Mouse Costume Party die set. True to form, I have ideas to share for using these cute mouse dies in an alternative way, since I don’t make Halloween cards. I have the lady mouse showing off two different outfits on two different holiday cards.

My first card features the Queen of Hearts outfit from the Classic Mouse Costume Party die set. I made her just as she was intended but opted to create a Valentine’s Day card. I used a heart embossing folder for a light pink background and added a card panel cut to look like a playing card. Using a black Glaze pen, I handwrote the sentiment “Queen of my Heart” and then foiled it with gold toner foil. I centered the cute mouse on the card and then added the hearts and the Qs to the corners.

For my second card, I used the witch costume and turned the sweet mouse into a Christmas elf. She got a green dress and a red cape, as she was going out to mail a letter. I replaced the intended hat with the Santa hat from the Classic Mouse Christmas die set and paired her with the mailbox from the Parcel & Post die set. I added the “Season’s Greetings” sentiment from the Merry Greetings die set.

I created a card panel with gold glitter cardstock for the background of my scene, keeping with the sentiment on the mailbox that says “SENDING A LITTLE HOLIDAY Sparkle”.

The Classic Mouse Costume Party die set is a lot of fun and offers all sorts of outfits that can be created as intended or altered to make completely new looks. Thank you for visiting with me today. I look forward to seeing you again next week!
