Using the Beads of Friendship collection for 3 happy projects

Time for my second post this week! Today I’m sharing some projects I made with a new Spellbinders collection called Beads of Friendship. I had looked at friendship bracelet stamp and die sets from other companies previously, so as you can imagine that I was really excited when Spellbinders offered to send me some to make projects with. I received the Spellbinders Bestie Alphabet Beads & Sentiments stamp set that stamps out all the tiny letters and numbers and contains a coordinating die to cut them all out at once. The Spellbinders Bestie Beaded Bracelets cuts out various shaped beads, the bracelet and the clasps.

My first project is really simple. I used the Spellbinders plaid embossing folder for my background and inked the lines of the embossing folder so that it pressed some ink into the debossed section. I used the curvy bracelet and pieced together the letters for “sending hugs” on it.

The sentiment on the lower end of the card is a printout from my computer which I designed and cut out through Silhouette Studio. Once it was printed and then cut, foiled it with my Minc machine. In the second photo, you can see the shine of the foil.

My second project also uses a Spellbinders embossing folder as a background and the straight bracelet string rather than the curvy one. I strung the word “friends” onto it, with a bead between each letter as a spacer. I then dotted some other beads in a random fashion around the card, both the ones with letters and the shaped ones. I completed it with a sentiment from the Spellbinders Bestie Alphabet Beads & Sentiments stamp set and cut it out with the smallest die from the Spellbinders Essential Stylish Ovals set.

Using the Beads of Friendship to create a fund card

My last project is a coin. I had previously done an extensive post on the outreach coins that we are using in our church. This one uses the complete round bracelet string onto which I spelled the word “hello”. A few other shaped beads were dotted around.

I have lots more ideas for these stamps and dies and I look forward to showing them to you in the future. Thank you for visiting with me twice this week.

  1. Wow, I like all three of your projects. The beads make lovely cards and coins.
I really like both cards and the words; the embossing of the second card is so eye catching. And the sentiments below the bracelets on both cards are beautiful, both the font and the wording.
The coin is so welcoming, inviting and happy.
    Well done!!! 🙂

  2. Three lovely projects, each of them showing off your favourite crafting item. Who doesn’t love a good die! The bracelets are a really interesting set of dies. Thanks for sharing them with us at As You See It.
