A Die and a Digi

Hello again! Another week has gone by since I last posted on my blog and this time I have combined two of my favorite cardmaking techniques – coloring and die cutting. I am showing off a project for Kinda Cute, the digi in this equation, as well as one of Spellbinder’s die set releases.

I wanted to make a slider card as this was one of the new dies that I had not used yet and do a sentiment reveal with the slider. The digi called Girl and Balloons is a great visual for this card. I colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils on Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper and then backed her with two cutouts of black cardstock.

The slider was created out of white cardstock and the printed sentiment is printed directly onto the card base. I used Silhouette Studio to get the sizing correct. The video will show how I did that in great detail.

The word “you” is also from a Spellbinders die set. When the slider tab is pulled up, the little girl goes up and the remainder of the sentiment is revealed.

If you are a blog subscriber, you are welcome to download the color chart for the digi.
