Hello Blogland. Today I am here with my project for the challenge between BożenA and myself. She has had such patience with me during my time of loss of mojo, move and whatever else. But here we are.
It was BożenA’s choice for the challenge theme and she chose monochrome with one color. I decided that I wanted to do something a little different to using my pencils for this. I had recently purchased this city die set and so used it for this project. I created all the cityscape in cardstock ranging in tones from black to white. I decided that this was a piece for my art journal rather than a card.

I like your idea Monica, how you used those words and created your card with it. The orange is very effective, I like your interpretation. Well done! And apart from the creativity, I like the words – very thought provoking.
WOW! Complete surprise, Monica. I was sure you would use colored pencils, you are so perfect at it. But your idea is just as beautiful. You've captured our subject very well by creating this beautiful city. Flower and sentiment go hand in hand perfectly. The photo you put in your post is also moving. Monica, it was worth waiting for you, your project is touching.
Thank you for having fun together, and now I'm looking forward to your challenge 🙂
hugs,
BożenA

Such a beautiful city scape card, really awesome die cut and fabulous journal page, hugs, Lori m
I love this monochrome card. Wonderful design. Believe me, I definitely understand losing mojo. I have no desire to do anything card related right now. I was thinking about maybe doing something with only dies because coloring is not working for me right now. I did just finish an Easter card for my mom. Hopefully, I can get that posted.
Hi Monica! Glad to see you posting again! Thank you very much for the very pretty and thoughtful birthday card, it's hanging on my display and being enjoyed very much. Love your page, the city is so well done and the orange just pops, xoxo
This is lovely, Monica! Love that pop of orange flower with the city scape!
