It has been a long time since I last posted here on my blog and I sure have missed it. I wanted to share my make for the Kinda Cute Progressive Challenge, which fortunately for me, extended for December and January.
The image was this cute octopus gentleman. However, Patricia had given the globe as a freebie to newsletter subscribers and I thought they worked perfectly together. I added the octopus to the globe in Silhouette Studio and then printed it out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper. I colored the octopus, his watery environment and the black part and silver buttons with my Prismacolor colored pencils. The gold is done with a gel pen.
I completed the card by adding a panel that I dry embossed to the card. I cut the globe out with my Silhouette and added a die cut sentiment to the top of the card.
And now for my news. Those of you who read my blog regularly know that we are full-time RV’ers. At the start of the new year, we traded our old RV in for a new one and guess what!! I have a craft room.
It still needs organization and is currently quite a chaos joint, but that will also come in time. I have cabinets on one side of the room with a little desk and on the other side is a sofa that has a table in front of it which works well for coloring and anything else that is not PC dependent.
So in the last few weeks it has been packing and unpacking. It will take a bit more time still to get settled into the new little space, but it is a project that is well worth tackling.
