Rings of cardstock

Today I am here again with another sympathy card. This one went to a friend in Florida who lost her husband. I used another technique that I learned in the “Crushing on Cardstock” course that I did recently.

The poppy is one of my Crafty-a-Flower die sets. They make such gorgeous flowers. I cut the concentric circles in the black and grey cardstock with infinity circle dies and used an embossing folder to emboss a piece behind the smallest circle. I painted the edges of the circles with gold metallic watercolor.

I completed my card by adding the poppy to the center and added a die cut sentiment cut from gold foil cardstock. I tried to keep it flat so that it would go well through the mail.

  1. I love these Altenew Layer Dies. The poppy you made is really lovely and the use of circles makes the flower look like in the spotlight. Well designed compassion card, Monica.

  2. Monica, this card is totally gorgeous! Makes a bold statement, yet perfectly tasteful and refined for a sympathy card. It's beautiful and you did a fab job with your supply and color choices as well. xoxo
