It is the first Tuesday of the month and so time for a new Crafty Chefs challenge. The two ingredients for our card recipe this month are “Do some coloring” and “Use dry embossing”. Here is my example make for the challenge.
The lady is a digi from Lemon Shortbread that I printed on Canson C’ a Grain paper and colored with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I then cut her out with my Silhouette Cameo. I cut a second shape and glued them together. The background is done with a Darice dotted embossing folder and added to the cardbase with Scrappy Tape – a tape I found that is very comparable to Scor-Tape, but definitely easier on the pocket. I created a sentiment with alphabet dies cut out of black cardstock and a Dymo label.
We would love to have you join us for the October Crafty Chefs challenge. You can enter as many times as you wish using the two ingredients on your card and one lucky person will get some happy mail at the end of the month.

Stunning card, your design is so pretty, the dotted embossing added such a nice texture to your card and make the image stand out. Hugs, Lori m

Amazing ideas. Very well done. The background is very effective.
Oh goody! I have that Art Deco Flappers digi set so score! A sample to save! Fab coloring and design. About Scrappy Tape, bought some from ScrapbookPal when first came out, but had been using ScorTape and I did not like not having any printing on the outside, apparently it helps me measure where to cut. I should probably try marking with a Sharpie and save a little, huh? lol xoxo
Gorgeous coloring! Love this card.
Brilliant card and love everything about this one…xx
This is another signature card. Coloring is so amazing Monika. Perfect card for inspiration for the Crafty Chefs challenge.
