Happy Friday again! Today I have a Christmas card to show you. I have wanted to make cards with Christmas wreaths for a long time and this year I found the perfect (in my opinion, anyway) die set to make a wreath with and so here goes. I made this one very traditional.
I cut a lot of pieces with the Spellbinders die set as I was not really sure what how it was going to work out. I assembled the parts that needed assembly and then cut a circle using my infinity circle dies. I created the wreath by adding the parts to the circle, of course spending an inordinate amount of time in deciding on the arrangement LOL. I cut a bow out of red foil cardstock for the top of the wreath and cut the sentiment from the same red foil cardstock. I adorned the larger flowers with a gem center and the smaller flowers with a gel pen center.
I created the card by adding a panel of ivory cardstock which I had run through a brick embossing folder inked with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink on the correct side so that the grey went into the mortar spaces on the embossed panel. I used the Honey Bee Stamps woodgrain dies to cut the planks and I applied some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. Once I had glued them down, I used a brown colored pencil to add the “rivets” to the corners.
I completed the card by adding the wreath and sentiment. I have cut supplies for some more of these same cards and for some in non-traditional colors. I was so happy with the result.

This is so pretty. It had to have taken a while to put it together and it was worth it. [Bunny]

A stunner Monica, love the gorgeous wreath. xx
Wow, I'm glad you wanted to do that, that's alot of work (of course, that's all I see, your recipient will see nothing but awesome!). Cutting teeny tiny die pieces is my idea of torture. I have a lovely MFT quilt die I'm afraid to use because of all the pieces. Sheesh! xoxo
Wow! Beautiful Christmas card. I love how you made this beautiful wreath of flowers and twigs, and the addition of an embossed background beautifully enriches the card.
