Today is Friday and time for another blog post. Today I am sharing my project, well projects, for the monthly Imagine That Digitstamp Progressive Challenge. This month the theme is Christmas in July. However, I don’t do the “animal nativity scene” thing, so I had to put my thinking cap on. But the package included the images as a whole and as singles and so I decided that the two single mice would make perfect, quirky cards, despite their outfits. So here goes.
I printed each of the two mice out twice after resizing them in Silhouette Studio. I used Canson Mi Tientes paper this time as I wanted a paper that was not white. I colored the two same mice in reverse colors to each other with my Prismacolor colored pencils (pencil crayons, for those of you who are not in the US). Once they were colored, I cut them out with an offset with my Cameo. The first “cheese” mouse went onto a landscape notecard with a layer of patterned paper as a background matted onto a piece of purple cardstock. A cheesy sentiment was added, that I printed out and cut into a sentiment strip.
The second mouse offering cheese also has a quirky sentiment as is placed on the same background as the other one, but in portrait orientation. Good when patterned paper works both ways.
The mice with their peanuts were colored in a combo of green and orange and so the cardpanel is green patterned paper with an orange matte.
My last card is the mouse asking a good question. Funny how many things are called things that they are not.
Today I am going to try something new. I created a Prismacolor color combo sheet for the colors I used here. You can
download the freebie, I just ask that you follow my blog prior to downloading. Enjoy!
