It’s a girl

Today I have a card to show you that I made with a new-to-me digi stamp company. Patricia of Kinda Cute does the sweetest images and this one is called Baby Gnome.
I designed the square card in my Silhouette Studio, creating a square in the software sized at 5×5 inches. I placed the digi in that square and also created a separate printout of just the gnome so that I could create a cutline around her to pop her up on my card. I printed both the square and the gnome on Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper and colored the gnome, the bubbles and the flower with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I then cut the square and the digi out with my Silhouette as well as another copy of the gnome’s shape on black cardstock.

I adhered the colored digi and the black cardstock shape together, after running a black marker along the edge of the colored cutout. I added a 5.25×5.25 purple matte to a 5.5×5.5 white cardbase and then added the cardpanel to it. I stamped the words “It’s a” in Memento ink with a Spellbinders stampset and cut the word GIRL out with an alphabet die in my stash.

I completed the card by popping the gnome onto the card with foamtape and adding the die cuts to complete the sentiment. I have a few more of Patricia’s drawings, so watch this space. In the meantime, be sure to check her shop out.
