Time for another new Chibi release over at
Scrappers Delights. As was the case last month, if you get all three new images from the release, you will get the star sign bundle for free. This bundle has 3 images and a number of elements all revolving around the Taurus sign.
This card was my first attempt at a side-step card. I used the tutorial for measurements done by Christina Hor in the Outlawz Tutorial section, but I created the cuts on my Silhouette machine and saved the file for future use. Using the base that I had created, I then designed the card, creating elements with the images from the VIP bundle for each section of my card. I then printed them out onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper and colored them with my Prismacolor colored pencils.
I wanted to try some earthy tones in the project and so used the same pencil combos for the Chibi as well as the bull and also on the word Taurus that was added to the second step of the card. Once the coloring was done, I then cut out the parts on my colored file and also cut a cardstock blank for the second and third step so that the images there would stand on their own (the drawing paper was not sturdy enough by itself). I stamped the sentiment on the first step of the card with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and a stamp from my stash.

Very cute! Love the bull. You put so much effort into your cards. I finally took my pencils out again yesterday.I haven't used them since I got my Copics nine years ago. I finished a picture with them and am actually using it for a DT card. I still can't for the life of me watercolor better than a toddler, but I'll get there. Oh, before I forget, thanks for joining us at QKR this week.
